Shoppy ("we", "us", "our") is a free shopping list web app available at goshoppy.app. We believe in keeping your personal data on your device whenever possible. This policy explains what limited data is collected, how it is used, and your choices.

Your shopping lists, favorites, history, saved templates, theme preferences, and all other content you create inside Shoppy are stored only in your browser’s local storage on the device you’re using.

• This data is never uploaded to our servers.
• We cannot see your lists, items, or activity inside the app.
• Clearing your browser data, switching browsers, or using a different device will start you with a fresh, empty Shoppy.

When you visit Shoppy, our hosting provider and the third-party services described below may automatically receive standard technical information that browsers send with every web request, such as:

• IP address (used for security, fraud prevention, and rough geolocation)
• Browser type and version, operating system, device type
• Referring page and pages visited within Shoppy
• Date, time, and duration of your visit

Shoppy displays advertising provided by Google AdSense, a service offered by Google LLC. These ads help keep the app free.

• Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to Shoppy and other websites on the internet.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to Shoppy and/or other sites on the Internet.
• Ads served by Google may include personalized advertising based on your interests, or non-personalized advertising based on context, depending on your consent and local regulations.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

Shoppy itself does not set tracking cookies. The cookies present on the site are set by:

• Google AdSense — advertising and frequency capping (see above).
• Your browser’s local storage — used by Shoppy to remember your lists and preferences. This is not transmitted anywhere.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of advertising on this and other sites.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data about you, and the right to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing.

Because Shoppy stores your content only on your device, you can exercise most of these rights yourself by clearing your browser storage for goshoppy.app. For requests relating to data held by our advertising partners, please use the opt-out links above or contact those vendors directly.

Shoppy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
